Some people may see the name Very Good Creations and think that we are full of ourselves or self-centered, but in truth we are wretched sinners that try every day to live up to God’s original design for us in the garden. In Genesis, we are told how our Creator brought forth life on day 6. All of the other days ended with God proclaiming that what He created was “good.” Even after He created land animals on the sixth day he stated that what he saw was “good.” Only after creating man and woman did God said what he had made was “very good.”
So, Very Good Creations began millions of years ago… just kidding, it was 2021. We started Very Good Creations when I began the journey of writing a children’s book about creation, you can read my story here 🔗. After writing the book and waiting on illustrations to be drawn, my wife, Becca, and I brainstormed how we would get the book out so it could teach children about our Creator. This led us to search out our ultimate goal.
Why Very Good Creations?
Our goal is to spread the truth of the word of God. This means telling people about the Bible and not just telling the “stories” of the Bible, but that the bible is full of history written down by our ancestors. The history has been backed up by biblical historians, archeologist, geologist, paleontologist and many more, but often the secular world view wants to deny God’s word and build a foundation on assumptions and theories. So, how do we plan on spreading the word of God?
We started with one children’s book because helping build a strong foundation early is very important, but there will be questions that arise and parents need to be there to answer them. Equipping parents with resources that will guide them along the way to strengthen that foundation is a major goal of ours through books, activities and articles. We have decided to homeschool our son, so Becca has many resources that will be beneficial to homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers alike.
Lastly, we have shirts and accessories that promote Christian values, homeschooling and holidays. The designs will rotate frequently, which means you should grab them before they go away for awhile. These items are to help support the website and expenses so that we can produce more content. To stay up to date, please sign up for our email newsletter, click here.
Overall, we are excited to spread the word of God through our years of experience and research so that it can benefit others in their journey to growing their relationship with Jesus Christ. Feel free to comment below on how you disciple to others.
